That&#8217;s why SPRIND, the German Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation, has launched the Next Frontier Robotics Challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without breakthroughs of our own, we risk critical dependencies. That\u2018s why SPRIND is\u00a0launching Next Frontier Robotics \u2013 a \u20ac90m challenge to build a modular, interoperable European robotics ecosystem for complex physical work such as in logistics, maintenance, and construction. We have the experience and the best talent in mechanical engineering, precision mechanics, automation, precision manufacturing, and computer science to shape the next era of robotics from Europe \u2013 and keep safety and sovereignty in European hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The goal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Develop full-stack robot platforms that handle complex physical tasks in real environments or novel robotic hardware components with breakthrough capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s in it for you<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Up to \u20ac7.2 million in non-dilutive funding per team across 4 stages (36 months total) \u2013 with potential follow-on funding for the most successful<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Venture development support, coaching, and direct access to potential customers, investors, and industry partners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Join a community of world-class teams working at the forefront of robotics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who should apply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visionary innovators from all domains: individuals, startups, research institutions and established companies located in the EU, EFTA or UK.
