A main focus was on learning-based approaches to analyzing image and sensor data. The group worked on methods that allow robots to actively understand dynamic environments from sensor inputs and perform complex tasks such as object handling or autonomous navigation. Beyond image data, the group also incorporated tactile sensors for an artificial sense of touch and inertial sensors analogous to human balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The group was active until June 2024.
