Conducting interdisciplinary research at both the hardware and software levels, the group works on new materials, sensor design, multiphysics simulation, sensor fabrication, signal processing, and machine learning. Their work aims to create autonomous systems that can recognize contact and leverage their surfaces for manipulation, motion planning, and nonverbal communication. The group\u2019s research is supported by a grant from the Christian B\u00fcrkert Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The group was active until May 2024.
