Nuria Oliver’s talk describes how to put in place a successful team that uses data-driven
methods to assist in better decision making for the COVID-19 pandemic. She presents the
structure of her team and how they perform mobile data analysis, epidemiological modelling
and analysis of other data sources with the overall aim of gaining evidence from data to
inform policymakers in Spain. Moreover, Nuria highlights the Covid19ImpactSurvey, which
was put in place to collect additional information about social contact behaviour, economic
and labour impact and the prevalence of symptoms during the epidemic.
