Why are computers stupid? This question is answered by Bernhard Schölkopf, a pioneer in the research field of machine learning. In the children’s university cinema lecture you will learn that arithmetic is easy for a computer. However, if the goal is to lift a chess piece and place it on another square, such a system fails. Calculating and moving at the same time is much easier for humans than for a computer. So if you think computers are smarter than us, that’s not true. Is it? The event will be held in German.
