Talha Zaman is Director of Research Engineering at Epic Games and co-founder of Meshcapade, a Tübingen-based company building the digital-human layer of the internet. He was Meshcapade’s CTO from 2018 to 2026, leading the development of technologies for 3D human body modeling, sizing, and animation. Before that, he worked as a research engineer at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen, helping turn foundational research on human shape, motion, and pose estimation into production-quality software. His career also includes software engineering roles at Google and Kyruus. Zaman is relevant to Cyber Valley as a strong example of the region’s research-to-venture pathway: his work connects Tübingen’s foundational AI and computer-vision research with applications in digital humans, embodied AI, gaming, and human–robot interaction.
