Antonia Georgopoulou started the Cyborg Robotics and Intelligent Sensing (CyRIS) group on October 15, 2025. The group focuses on bio-inspired materials and structures, additive manufacturing, and functional materials for soft and biohybrid robotic applications. Combining materials science, robotics, and bioengineering, the team develops adaptable and intelligent robotic platforms. Building on work in electronic skin and multifunctional sensors, the group aims to create robotic systems capable of adapting to complex, real-world environments.
