  • Software Tutorial Series

    Software Tutorial Series

The lecture is about the benefits of organizing the code in packages (i.e. having your software pip friendly, unit tests friendly, automated html documentation generation friendly). Vincent Berenz will also talk about poetry (https://python-poetry.org/) as a convenient way to manage virtual environments and dependencies.

The talk is open to everyone who uses python and is interested in sharing knowledge.

  • Your Research Canvas

    Your Research Canvas

Lesen Sie hier die Veranstaltungsbeschreibung in englischer Sprache:

What is the application potential of your own research? In this workshop, you will reflect about user groups and the network of stakeholders that surround you and your research. Why could they benefit from your research? Brainstorm potential use cases and help each other to take your ideas to the next level (online workshop from 10-12:30 pm).

    Contents:

    • Reflection about the potential of one’s own research topic/idea
    • Assessing potential through identifying users/stakeholders
    • Developing or extending potential use cases based on one’s research & network

    Cyber Valley Meet-up #04

We invite you to this relaxed meeting for all start-ups, research groups, PhD students and interested people who want to learn more about Cyber Valley. Cyber Valley Meet-up #04 will be held in cooperation with BRYCKE, a project of the business development of the city of Stuttgart. BRYCKE is a space as well as a community that connects visions, innovative products and people. BRYCKE is an open, lively, inspiring place in downtown Stuttgart where ideas are presented and brought to life together.

    What:

    • Pitches – Who wants to pitch their idea at the Meet-up? Feel free to contact us.
      • Pitch: BRYCKE and Business development (Sebastian Reutter, Vinz Leo Hofmann and Tobias Dürr)
      • Pitch: LBBW Venture Capital (Markus Kazmaier)
      • Pitch: Early phase investors at Grazia Equity (Benedikt Battke)
      • Pitch: nanoAR technology, learning from nature (Zhaolu Diao)
      • Pitch: TREEO: Pioneer in nature-based climate solutions (Stefan Ferber)

    • Open discussion and exchange

… while enjoying pizza, salad, and a cold drink of your choice. We would also like to know what your expectations are for Cyber Valley.

  • SimTech2023

    SimTech2023

    Conference Webpage

    Topics of the conference

The conference will cover topics such as

    • classical computational science enhanced by learning based components,
    • data-based scale bridging,
    • high performance computing,
    • numerical solvers optimized by meta-data based methods,
    • machine learning for simulation and visualization,
    • data-based (surrogate) modeling for interactive applications and control problems,
    • Bayesian approaches for uncertainty reduction and model assessment and many more.

    Is this conference for you?

The conference is intended to be a major platform for promoting exchange amongst representatives of the international research community in these interdisciplinary fields, bringing together mathematicians and life scientists, engineers and chemists, computer scientists and sociologists, physicists and philosophers. In keynote lectures, renowned scientists present the latest ideas at the interface between data and simulation. With this multi-disciplinary environment, we continue to advance towards our goal at the Stuttgart Cluster of Excellence SimTech: From Multi-X Simulations and Data-Driven Approaches to Data-Integrated Simulation Science.

We are looking forward to welcome you all in Stuttgart!

  • Symposium „Social Justice and Technological Futures“
