Daniel Häufle is a Professor of Morphological Computation in Neuromechanics and Neurorehabilitation at the University of Tübingen and the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research. His research bridges neuroscience, biomechanics, computational motor control, and robotics to investigate how neural, muscular, and skeletal systems generate robust human movement. His group develops neuro-musculoskeletal models and simulations with applications in rehabilitation robotics, assistive technologies, and the treatment of movement disorders. Häufle is also a member of Bionic Intelligence Tübingen Stuttgart (BITS). His Cyber Valley relevance is illustrated by his Cyber Valley Research Fund project with Georg Martius and Pierre Schumacher, which explored how AI systems can model and reproduce the complexity of human movement for future biorobotic and rehabilitation applications.
